Summer League
$169 for an 8-session season!
Hosting Varsity Division, Junior Varsity Division, Co-Ed Rookie Division, AND Boys Division! Each
session is 3hrs. For JV, Varsity and Boys Divisions, each session
includes 2 matches (best 2 out
of 3) and a team work
assignment. For Rookie Division, each session includes a 1 hour skills clinic, 1 match and a team work assignment. Every player who
registers will be assigned to a
team (and GSVC Coach(es) for JV
and Rookie Division ONLY).
Every player will be provided a
team t-shirt (included in tuition)!
Dates of Summer League are
as follows: 6/23, 6/30, 7/7,
7/14, 7/21, 7/28, 8/4 & 8/11
with your team being scheduled for 3 hours between 3-9pm.
Summer Camp
Our Girls All-Skills Day Camp is geared toward the passionate and dedicated volleyball athlete!
This is a four day intensive camp that covers skills such as: passing, setting, attacking,
serving, defense, blocking and covering. Players will work on increasing their vertical jump
with light conditioning workouts geared toward the volleyball athlete. Additionally, our
coaches will use drills and competition to teach technique and skills. This year, our summer camp will also include lunch each day served at the beautiful Derryfield School Dining Commons (right on campus) which will be included in tuition. Players are in for a full
week of improving volleyball skills and learning from talented and knowledgeable Granite
State Volleyball Club Coaches.
Summer Series
Our Summer Volleyball Series are 1-3-day clinics focused on a specific valuable volleyball skill(s). Each session will build on the skills/techniques learned at the previous session(s). This is a great clinic for ALL athletes both new and advanced!

ages at various skill levels, for

Every player who registers will be assigned to a team (and GSVC Coach(es) for JV and Rookie Division ONLY). Once players are assigned to a team, they will not be able to change teams (for uniform/t-shirt purposes).
Every player will be provided a team t-shirt (included in tuition)!

GSVC Summer League Guidelines:
In the best interests of the safety of our players, the following minimum requirements must be met in order to register for the GSVC Summer League. Rare exceptions will be considered at the discretion of the Club Directors.
No refunds can be given once your athlete has registered.

Co-Ed Rookie Division:
-
Open to boys and girls;
-
Age 13 or below as of 6/23/24;
-
No experience required;
-
Girls JV Division:
If ONE of the following criteria are met and your player does not meet the requirements to participate in the Rookie or Varsity Summer League, she qualifies for the GSVC JV Summer League.

Minimum of two seasons playing for a middle school volleyball program;

Minimum of one season playing for a club volleyball program;
-
Over the age of 13 as of 6/23/24;
-
Does not meet the requirements to participate in the Rookie or Varsity Summer League.

Girls Varsity Division:
If ONE of the following criteria are met, then your player qualifies for the GSVC Varsity Summer League.

Minimum of one season playing for a club program at the 16U level or above;
-
Minimum of one season at the varsity high school level;
-
Minimum of two seasons at the JV high school level;
-
Recent high school graduates are eligible if the player does not turn 19 before 8/11/24;
-
Boys Division:
- Does not qualify for the Rookie Division based on age;
- Open to Ages 14-16 as of 8/11/24;
- No experience required.
Summer League 2024 Schedule
About Our Summer All-Skills Camp
The GSVC All Skills Summer Camp will be held from Monday, July 29 through Thursday, August 1. Drop off is at 8:00 a.m. and pick up is at 2:00 p.m.
No experience is necessary, and we strongly believe that all players can learn and grow tremendously regardless of skill level. This is a four-day intensive camp that covers skills such as passing, setting, attacking, serving, defense, blocking and covering. Players will work on increasing their vertical jump with light conditioning workouts geared toward the volleyball athlete. Players will also spend time each day practicing ball control exercises. Additionally, our coaches will use drills and competition to teach technique and skills.
This year, our summer camp will also include lunch each day served at the beautiful Derryfield School Dining Commons which is right on campus adjacent to the gymnasium.
Lunch and a camp t-shirt is included in the tuition cost.

This is a great clinic for volleyball players of all ages and skill levels. Serving and serve receive are two of the most critical elements of volleyball! The clinic will help each player become a better and more confident server and serve receive passer. Players will learn the standing float serve and jump float serve (two of the most used and effective serves in the female volleyball game). They will also learn the proper technique, footwork and movement in order to improve her serve receive passing skills.
DEFENSE SERIES:
July 24-26 4-6pm (July 26 4:30-6:30pm)

This is a great clinic for volleyball players of all ages and skill levels. "A great defensive play is worth about five points in emotion." - Caren Kemner. The clinic will help each player become a better and more confident back row player. Players will learn proper technique, footwork and movement in order to improve her defensive abilities. Coaches will cover how to dig spikes, proper positioning, reading the attacker, emergency skills, ball control, out of system setting, covering the block and passing off of the block.
HITTING SERIES:
July 17-19 4-6pm

This is a great clinic for volleyball players of all ages and skill levels. Become an offense force for your team! The clinic will cover individual skill training such as arm swing, approach mechanics, ball control, hand contact, etc. This is an amazing opportunity for outside hitters, middle blockers and opposite hitters.
SETTING SERIES:
June 28-29 4-6pm

This is a great clinic for volleyball players of all ages and skill levels. "The setter position is arguably one of the most valuable positions in volleyball, and a great setter can elevate a team from merely good to greatness!" -anonymous. This clinic will help each player become a better setter as there will be an emphasis on footwork, hand positioning, set placement, tempos and setter dumps. Learn how to quarterback and run your team's offense!
*This clinic is also highly recommended for defensive specialists/liberos as our coaches will cover tools and techniques to succeed in out of system plays.

About Our Summer Open Gym
GSVC will be holding open gym on our home courts at The Derryfield School in Manchester every Monday and Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm. This starts on June 3 and runs through August 15. We will be taking July 4 off due to the holiday. Girls are welcome to attend on both nights during the week. We will offer a boys court on Thursday nights as well. Coaches will always be on hand at open gym and are eager to assist if you are interested in working on a specific skill. No prior experience is necessary! We are there to have fun!
